Dr Aiman Rahmanudin is a Research Associate at the Organic Materials Innovation Centre (OMIC) in the University of Manchester, UK.
His research interests are in the design, synthesis and processing of π-conjugated semiconducting materials for the fabrication of novel electronic devices. He focuses on using various thin-film processing techniques such as ink-jet printing and melt processing of organic semiconducting materials to understand structure-property relationship between the self-assembly and electronic performance.
Aiman completed his PhD at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland with Professor Kevin Sivula developing a molecular engineering approach towards the morphology control and processability of organic semiconductors for optoelectronic applications. Prior to this, Aiman received his MChem in Chemistry with Business Management from the University of Manchester.
Currently, his research focuses on printing of organic semiconductors for the fabrication and characterization of field-effect-transistor arrays for sensing applications in support of the work of the EPRSC Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Large Area Electronics at OMIC.
