Dr Andy Sellars

Dr Andy Sellars completed an industrially funded PhD at Strathclyde University and his research was commercialised by Diagnostic Monitoring Systems Ltd. He then joined Rolls Royce Industrial Power Group in Tyne and Wear where he developed high-voltage transmission equipment.  Following a brief period at Strathclyde University working on RADAR components, Andy returned to industry leading teams at Spirent Communications PLC (Glasgow) developing electronic instruments, Korala Associates Ltd (Edinburgh) developing financial transaction software and Electron Tubes Ltd (Ruislip and Dallas) developing photon-counting sensors for human blood analysis.  More recently, Andy worked as an independent consultant on various projects, including colour blending algorithms for cinematic LED lighting, a wireless flow control system and HID lighting to film James Bond.
